VPN Overview
The VPN section gives you fleet-wide visibility into IPSec and SSL-VPN tunnel status across all your managed firewalls.
What You Can See
From a single dashboard, you can monitor:
- Tunnel status — which tunnels are up, down, or in a degraded state
- Tunnel inventory — a complete list of all VPN tunnels across your fleet
- Connection metrics — traffic and session data for active tunnels
VPN Types
SonicSaaS monitors two types of VPN connections:
IPSec (Site-to-Site)
IPSec tunnels connect two networks securely over the internet. These are typically used for:
- Branch office connectivity
- Datacenter interconnects
- Partner network connections
See IPSec Tunnels for details.
SSL-VPN (Remote Access)
SSL-VPN portals provide remote access for individual users. These are typically used for:
- Remote worker access
- Vendor access portals
- Emergency access
See SSL-VPN for details.
VPN Compliance
The VPN compliance page evaluates your tunnel configurations against security best practices — encryption standards, perfect forward secrecy, certificate expiration, and more.
See VPN Compliance for details.
