MySonicWall

The MySonicWall integration connects SonicSaaS to the MySonicWall cloud portal to pull firmware availability, license status, and device metadata.

What It Provides

  • Firmware availability — know which firmware versions are available for each device model, without manually checking MySonicWall
  • License status — see license expiration dates, support tier, and warranty information
  • Device metadata — serial numbers, registration status, and product details synced from the cloud portal

Setup

To configure the MySonicWall integration:

  1. Navigate to Integrations → MySonicWall
  2. Enter your MySonicWall portal credentials
  3. If your account uses two-factor authentication, you’ll be prompted for a TOTP code during initial sync
  4. Save the configuration and run an initial sync

Your MySonicWall credentials are encrypted at rest using the same AES-256-GCM encryption as device credentials.

How Sync Works

After initial setup, the platform periodically syncs with MySonicWall to keep firmware availability and license data current. The sync pulls data from the portal — it does not make changes to your MySonicWall account.

Authentication Security

  • Portal credentials are encrypted before storage and decrypted only during sync operations
  • Two-factor authentication is supported (TOTP codes used once and discarded)
  • RSA-encrypted password transmission to the MySonicWall API (credentials never sent in plaintext)
  • Bearer tokens from TFA are short-lived and not persisted
