Device Detail
When you select a device from the fleet table, you’ll see a detailed view with tabs covering every aspect of that device’s configuration, health, and history.
Overview Tab
The overview tab provides a summary dashboard for the device, including:
- Connection status — current reachability and last successful connection
- Device information — model, serial number, firmware version, uptime
- WAN / ISP information — public IP, ISP name, geographic location
- Summary cards — quick counts for local users, MFA coverage, backup status, security services, and configuration items
- Recent activity — latest operations and events for this device
- Notes — free-text notes you can attach to the device
Configuration Tabs
Several tabs let you inspect and manage the device’s configuration:
- Security Services — status of IPS, antivirus, anti-spyware, content filtering, geo-IP blocking, botnet filtering, and other security features
- Local Users — local user accounts on the firewall, MFA status, and unauthorized account detection
- VPN — IPSec and SSL-VPN tunnel status
- WAN — WAN interface configuration, dual-WAN status, and ISP details
- Network — interface configuration, IP addresses, and gateway information
- Zones — network zone assignments and interface mappings
- Objects — address objects, service objects, and user objects
- Groups — local user groups and role assignments
- DHCP — DHCP server configuration, address pools, and active leases
- Rules — firewall access rules organized by zone
- Policies — access policies, NAT policies, and service groups
Operations Tabs
- Firmware — current firmware version, target version, staged updates, and deployment history
- Backups — configuration backup history with the ability to download or compare backups
- HA — high availability cluster status, sync state, and failover information (for HA-paired devices)
- Diagnostics — connection testing and network path diagnostics
- Restart — device reboot controls (immediate or scheduled)
Monitoring Tabs
- Metrics — live and historical charts for CPU, memory, and throughput
- Logs — device event logs and connection logs
- Licensing — license keys, expiration dates, and support tier
- History — full audit trail of all connections, operations, and changes for this device
- Drift — configuration drift detection comparing current state against the last known configuration
Device Settings
The settings tab lets you configure how SonicSaaS manages this device:
- API version and connection profile
- Polling schedule and intervals
- Credential management (update the stored credentials)
