DevicesFleet Overview

Devices

The Devices page is the central hub for managing your SonicWall fleet. It shows every firewall in your team with real-time status, connectivity, and quick actions.

Fleet Table

The device table displays:

ColumnDescription
NameDevice friendly name
StatusCurrent connectivity status (color-coded badge)
Host:PortManagement IP/hostname and port
Serial NumberSonicWall hardware serial
OrganizationWhich organization the device belongs to (visible when not filtered)
Last SeenWhen the device was last successfully polled
TagsCustom tags for filtering and grouping

You can search, sort, and filter the table by any column. Use the organization filter in the sidebar to narrow down to a specific client’s devices.

Device Actions

From the device table, you can:

  • View Details — Click a device row to see its full detail page (firmware, backups, policies, VPN, etc.)
  • Edit — Update device name, host, port, or credentials
  • Delete — Remove a device from your fleet (cascades to all related data)

Device Detail Pages

Clicking a device opens its detail view with tabs for:

  • Summary — Device info, model, firmware, serial, last poll status
  • Firmware — Current firmware version and upgrade eligibility
  • Backups — Configuration backups for this device
  • Policies — Device-level policy overrides
  • Security — Security services status (IPS, AV, content filter)
  • VPN — IPSec and SSL VPN tunnel status
  • WAN — WAN interface and ISP configuration
  • Network — Interface and zone configuration
  • Users — Local user accounts on the device
  • Rules — Firewall access rules
  • Diagnostics — Live diagnostic tools
  • History — Audit trail for this device
  • Settings — Device-specific configuration

Filtering by Organization

If your team manages devices for multiple client organizations, the Organization column helps you identify which client each device belongs to. Use the sidebar org filter to show only one client’s devices at a time — the Organization column auto-hides when filtered.

Adding Devices

See Adding Your First Device for step-by-step instructions on adding single devices or bulk importing from CSV.
